Darman Ara established 5 plasmapheresis centers between 2008 and 2011, with 2 more centers added in 2013. By 2020, these centers had grown to 10 in Tehran and its suburbs. German and Iranian authorities have verified that all these centers comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP).
The collected plasma from donors is sent to fractionators and then plasma-derived medicinal products (PDMPs) are produced and sent back to Iran.
 Plasma proteins and biotherapeutic drugs are mainly used in the fields of clinical immunology, hematology, and intensive care medicine for patients.
